ReplyKit ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the ReplyKit mobile application ("App"), including any premium features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases offered through the App.
By downloading, installing, or using ReplyKit, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Information We Collect
1. Information You Provide
- Text Templates & Snippets: The text templates, reply snippets, and image templates you create within the App are stored locally on your device. We do not collect, access, or transmit this content.
- Categories & Organization: The folders, categories, and organizational structures you create are stored locally on your device.
2. Subscription & Purchase Information
- Transactions: When you subscribe to ReplyKit Premium or make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play Store). We do not collect, process, or store your payment details such as credit card numbers, billing addresses, or bank account information.
- Purchase Receipts: We may receive a purchase confirmation or receipt token from the App Store or Google Play Store to verify your subscription status and unlock premium features. This receipt does not contain your personal payment information.
- Subscription Status: We may store your subscription status (e.g., active, expired, trial period) locally on your device or through secure server-side validation to ensure you have access to the correct features.
3. Automatically Collected Information
- Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as app opens, feature usage frequency, subscription conversion events, and crash reports to improve the App. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
- Device Information: We may collect general device information (device type, operating system version, language settings, screen size) for compatibility, optimization, and troubleshooting purposes.
- App Performance Data: We may collect anonymized performance metrics such as load times, error rates, and feature interaction patterns to enhance the user experience.
Keyboard Extension & Data Privacy
ReplyKit includes a custom keyboard extension that allows you to access your saved templates while typing in other apps. We want to be fully transparent about how this works:
- The keyboard extension accesses only the templates and snippets you have saved within the ReplyKit app.
- The keyboard extension does not log, record, or transmit any keystrokes.
- The keyboard extension does not access, read, or collect any text you type outside of inserting your saved templates.
- The keyboard extension does not access your contacts, photos, location, or any other personal data.
- All template data is stored locally on your device and is never sent to external servers.
- Enabling "Full Access" for the keyboard (required on iOS) does not grant us access to your keystrokes or personal data. It is only used to allow the keyboard to read your locally stored templates.
How We Use Your Information
Any information we collect is used solely to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality
- Process and validate your subscriptions and in-app purchases
- Deliver premium features to subscribed users
- Improve app performance and user experience
- Diagnose technical issues, crashes, and bugs
- Understand general, anonymized usage patterns to guide product development
- Communicate important updates about the App or your subscription (if applicable)
Subscriptions & In-App Purchases
ReplyKit offers premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions and/or one-time in-app purchases. Regarding your privacy in relation to these:
- All payment processing is handled securely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play Store). We never see, collect, or store your payment credentials, credit card numbers, or billing details.
- We may use anonymous, aggregated purchase data (such as conversion rates, plan popularity, and revenue trends) to understand business performance and improve our offerings.
- Your subscription status may be synced across your devices using your Apple ID (via Apple's StoreKit) or Google account (via Google Play Billing), as managed by the respective platform.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your purchase history with any third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Apple App Store — Data Processed
When you purchase a subscription or in-app purchase on iOS, iPadOS, or macOS:
- Apple processes your payment through your Apple ID. Apple's handling of your personal and payment information is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
- We receive an anonymized App Store receipt (a cryptographically signed token) that confirms the validity of your purchase and your subscription status. This receipt does not contain your name, address, email, or any direct payment information.
- We may validate the receipt with Apple's servers or through a trusted subscription management service (e.g., RevenueCat) to confirm purchase authenticity and unlock premium features.
- Apple may share certain anonymized analytics with us (e.g., installs, impressions, conversions) if you have not opted out of App Analytics in your iOS settings.
Google Play Store — Data Processed
When you purchase a subscription or in-app purchase on Android:
- Google processes your payment through Google Play Billing using your Google Play account. Google's handling of your personal and payment information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
- We receive a Google Play purchase token (an anonymized identifier) that confirms your purchase and subscription status. This token does not contain your personal payment information.
- We may validate the token with Google Play Developer API or through a trusted subscription management service (e.g., RevenueCat) to confirm purchase authenticity and unlock premium features.
- Google Play Console may provide us with aggregated, anonymized reports regarding installs, purchases, and user demographics.
Subscription Management Services
We may use a third-party subscription management platform (such as RevenueCat) to:
- Verify purchase receipts with Apple and Google in real time.
- Track subscription events (e.g., trial start, renewal, cancellation, refund).
- Sync subscription status across your devices tied to the same Apple ID or Google account.
- Provide us with anonymized analytics regarding subscriber behavior (e.g., churn, lifetime value).
These services process purchase receipts and an anonymized user identifier. They do not access your personal templates, snippets, or content. Their handling of this data is governed by their own privacy policies (e.g., RevenueCat Privacy Policy).
Your Choices Regarding Purchases
- You may manage, modify, or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings.
- Deleting the App does not automatically cancel your active subscription. You must cancel through your app store account.
- Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google (play.google.com/store/account).
Data Storage & Security
Your text templates, image templates, and reply snippets are stored locally on your device. We do not store your personal content on any external servers. Your subscription status may be validated through Apple or Google's secure receipt validation systems. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect any information we process, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
Data Sharing & Third-Party Services
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. ReplyKit may use the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store: For processing subscriptions and in-app purchases, governed by their respective privacy policies.
- Analytics Services: Such as Firebase Analytics, Apple App Analytics, or similar tools for collecting anonymous usage data and crash reports, governed by their respective privacy policies.
- RevenueCat or similar subscription management tools: If used, these services help manage and validate subscription status. They process purchase receipts but do not access your personal content or templates.
These third-party services may collect anonymous data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not share any personally identifiable information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Data Retention
- Local Data: Your templates and content remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App.
- Analytics Data: Anonymous analytics data may be retained for up to 24 months to identify trends and improve the App.
- Subscription Records: Purchase validation records may be retained for as long as necessary to provide you with access to premium features and to comply with legal obligations.
Children's Privacy
ReplyKit is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete that information. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access & Portability: Request information about what data, if any, we have collected about you.
- Deletion: Delete all your local data by uninstalling the App. For any server-side data, contact us to request deletion.
- Opt-Out: Opt out of analytics data collection through your device settings or by contacting us.
- Manage Subscriptions: Cancel or modify your subscription at any time through your device's App Store or Google Play Store settings.
- Withdraw Consent: Where we rely on consent to process your data, you can withdraw it at any time.
- Complaint: Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe your rights have been violated.
International Users
If you are accessing the App from outside the country where our servers are located, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a different jurisdiction. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
